Teri Jon Silk Floral Print Dress - Sleeveless (For Women)

This dress was a very beautiful piece of clothing. The fit was odd, however. I am a size 2 (103 pounds, 5'2"). I could not get the bodice zipped. The dress simply would not fit around my "ribcage". The bust part was ok, but the waist and torso did not fit. I put the dress on my skinny 11 year old and it barely zipped around her middle. The bust was (way) too big on her, but the torso was tight. I really loved the dress but had to send it back due to fit.

The fit is not too bad, but the style was just not as flattering on as it was in the picture. The skirt flows nicely, and the fabric is of good quality, but the pattern is inelegant without being fun, and the dress just doesn't come together. I'm very slim and can wear either a 0 or 2, but this pushed the limits. A size bigger probably wouldn't help as it would just make the fit more awkward.

Very pretty, but the sizing is a bit off. I usually wear a 6-8 in a dress, so seeing the other postings on the size running small I ordered a 10. It was way too small, so I returned it and got a 12. The fit is better at this size. I believe another person said the waist was long, which I was happy about since I am long waisted, but the dress seems to hit me about 1-1 1/2 inches above my natural waist. Other than that it is a very nice dress. I'm keeping it and will deal with the waist issue because of the beauty and quality of the dress.

I love it, but I see from the other reviews that this dress does not work for everyone, and I do agree that it really depends on your build. I am rather small on top, long-waisted, and fuller in the hips, so the cut is perfect for me, and flattering. The fabric is lovely and it is clearly top quality. This is one of my favorite brands of dresses.

I love the way this dress looks on the website, and thus tried 3 different sizes, just to make it work. I am usually between 8 and 10, but ordered a 10 first as recommended. The waist sat right under the chest, and the dress was very tight. then I tried a 12, and then a 14, and even with altering (which I was wiling to do) this would not have worked. So, it's not a size issue, the cut is simply not working. Maybe if you are super slim, give it a try. I love this company, and have other dresses that fit just fine.

I was so excited to receive this dress. The more I was disappointed at the fit. I already ordered a size larger, as recommended by previous reviews- and still. The waist was right under the breasts, the bow-tie just did not stay right. I so wanted it to fit and look good, but I had to send it back. I usually love this designer, but somehow the seamstress must have messed up here! Too bad.

Too small - should have ordered a larger size, plus very prone to static cling. Not for someone who is short waisted.
