Teri Jon Wool Challis Dress - Short Sleeve (For Women)

This is a beautiful dress but did not hang well, and looked large and matronly. Runs big, I'm size 10 but the size 8 was plenty big. Could be pretty on the right person and with better drape.

I liked everything about the dress except the sleeves. So.... I actually altered the sleeves by putting pleats in them, but not ironed down pleats. I just love the dress now.

The combo of flutter sleeves, black trim and black bow at the neck made the dress too cutesy . I almost said "too young," but the fabric, which has a texture more like a loose linen weave, and the print make the dress feel older and fussy. I considered removing the bow and keeping the dress, but decided it wasn't worth the price, even with Sierra TP's deep discount.

Why don't more designers use wool challis? This dress does indeed have a flattering, pretty style well suited to formal summer parties and weddings, but so do many other dresses. What makes it rise above the norm is the drape and softness the wool challis lends. It was not an inexpensive dress even at the bargain price it is offered at here, but it is well worth every penny. I hope my colleagues like it as well as I do, because I can see I'll be wearing it to absolutely every official function I have to attend this spring!

Nice fabric and design, but the cut is strange, esp in hips, puffs out in "old ladyish" way, Unflattering.

Great for special occasions Finest quality and beautifully made. Won't be disappointed with this manufacturer. Somewhat pricey.

Pretty on-line, but in hand the construction is of truly high quality and the fit is perfect and even more flattering than expected. Slightly generous for stated size. Fabric is luxurious and details (like bra strap tabs) are appreciated.
