These boots are very well made. At first I thought that they just ran large. Then I removed the Superfeet insole and saw that they were a size 14. The boots were marked size 13 (that's what I ordered). This could be the reason other reviews have found that the boots run large. They are not like a warm weather military boot. The upper part of the boot is heavily padded and the toe box seems to have a hard, protective cap. An online search for these boots showed a version that the maker describes as "soft toe". I am assuming that these are a "hard toe" version. All in all they are a very good value for the STP price but I would contact Sierra, after ordering, and have them double check the sizing. STP will do that, if you can give them your order number..
