We had weather ranging from a high in the 70's to a high in the 50's. I wore this as a first layer and was very happy with the comfort and warmth it provided.

Very warm, soft, and lightweight, I feel like it would be great on the trail, but I'm returning it because it was snug and short enough that I'd be pulling it down all day. I'm not exchanging it for the larger size as I think the length would still be an issue - I'm 5'8". If you're shorter, go for it, it seems like a great deal for the money.

For ten dollars this is an okay base layer, but the White Sierra alpha beta zip neck fleece top is soooooo much nicer. The White Sierra fits better, is heavier weight, and softer. -

I don't think an XL would have been okay, or I would have ordered one. I have a similar shirt that is light fleece, and it's great to wear (with camisole) as I keep my thermostat on 67 during the winter.

It's not extremely "technical," and I don't really use it for heavy aerobic activity, such as when I need breathability or wicking, etc. However, great for around the house and around town. One note--it runs small. I normally wear a small, but I heeded the other reviews and ordered a size up. The medium fits just great. (I actually bought small first, but they were rather tight and uncomfortable and wouldn't have worked with a layer underneath.)

Love this one even more. I was hoping to be able to wear it over another layer but it is too form fitting for that. But that's fine and it is made to be a base layer. Very light and takes up hardly any space in a pack. I bought a medium and I'm a pretty small person (size 4). The sleeves are still a little tight. So if deciding between sizes, go up. I ended up buying 3.
