I was very impressed by these fleece legging pants. They keep you warm and are very comfortable. I love wearing them around the house and when I'm out and about on the weekends.

I am 5"1', 112lbs and these tights are barely long enough for me. They fit great, except could be a tiny bit longer. I bought a small. If you are over my height, I would not buy these unless you are ok with them being more like a capri tight. I use them skiing as my base layer and they are warm, but breathable. If they were longer I would have given 5 stars.

The fabric is thin, doesn't feel like fleece and has a weird bumpy texture inside. I didn't want to have it against my skin.

I can't yet attest to how warm they are outdoors, but I've been wearing them as leggings around the house on some of our chilly nights and they're great. They don't pill or pick up lint but they're not super shiny. (They have an inverted waffle texture -- should be very warm.) I ordered two of the same size, same color and they are slightly different in size. One pair has a higher rise in the waist, but they're both fine. Not too long and not too tight. Not binding.

Warm, soft, nice fleece fabric; the inseam of my large pair is 26" so it is very short. I wore long underwear under them so my ankles were covered. They would have been returned but I needed them for a trip departure the next day.

    • Answer I haven't used them for that purpose, but I think you could easily use them under snow pants. They are really warm. I'm 5'4 120 and I got a small, so probably a medium, because they are just right for me...and might be a little tight for you.

    • Answer The tights run VERY small. I would guess that you would need an xl. I included the measurements in a review....perhaps you can look for them? They are warm and would be perfect under ski pants I would think. I have the pants and they are warm. They are low rise.

    • Answer My wife found them sufficiently warm for limited time outdoors in Skagway Alaska during the last week of December 2013, with temperatures in the teens Fahrenheit. She says the tights stayed in place . She did say she wised they had a higher waist. My wife is 5'10" and size (14-16) she was happy with women's XL.

    • Answer They are quite warm. I've only been skiing a couple of times and I think these would be fine under snow pants. Yes they will stay in place. They have a good tight waist band. I'm 5'5 and I thought they were fine for my height so they should fit you perfect. Somewhat true to size. They were a little tighter than I thought they would.

    • Answer Sizing wise, I say you are in between M and L, depending on if you like a little tight/short, or a bit roomy (not baggy). I use them for 8 degree downhill underliner and 23 degree cross country skiing, works perfect for me. I personally think this fleece pants are every bit as good (or better) than the pricy Underarmor warm underliners. I will buy more of this brand in grid fleece. Oh, they don't make statics sparks!

    • Answer Terramar calls them fleece tights. But you are right they have no feet so they look like leggins.

  • Question “How stretchy is the fabric, and how warm worn alone? I need leggings for figure skating.”

Asked on 1/15/2012 12:00:00 AM by Crazy Little Skater from northwestern PA
    • Answer The fabric will have some stretch to it, but i do not think it will be very warm when wore alone..... It is meant to be worn as a layering piece.
Answered on 1/16/2012 12:00:00 AM by Prod. Spec. Ryan from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer The fabric is not stretchy and do not fit as your typical leggings, though they are very warm. I personally would not ware those to figure skating bc these do not sit tight on you.

    • Answer I think they will be warm enough. I just wore them yesterday on a 6 mile hike in the snow. It was 29-32 degrees with minimal sun and I was plenty warm. They are also very stretchy. The only downside of wearing them alone is that stuff sticks to them...dog fur, hay etc...but I am out on a ranch so you will probably be fine :-) They are super roomy so you may want to go down a size. I am 5'6 and weigh 130 and I got a M, they fit but are not at all snug. Hope this helps!
