    I got this for my Brother. He takes the Bus every where, and needs to hear what is going on around him. He had a polyester Balaclava, but it was too bulky, too hard to hear through, and when it got damp, it stayed damp. This is really warm, and much better than the one he had. This is a Really Good and well made product. Too bad it is a Close-out.

    This is a nice lightweight balaclava- easy to fit under a helmet. I bought it to wear biking. Fits well, comfortable and doesn't have too large of an eye cutout- gives a lot of protection.

    I bought this to prepare for Mt. Whitney in California. While the day time weather reaches the 80s easily, the high altitude and the blinding white snow may be super cold at the summit. I will update when I am leaving in 2 weeks. Overall the fit is perfect: snug, but not too tight. The material is smooth and feels good even though its covering my mouth.

    This is not expedition weight material, but it is an excellent piece for layering beneath a helmet or another stocking cap. This is the only balaclava I've had that protects around the eyes as well as it does. The merino wool is comfortable, wicks nicely and wears wells. Great piece of gear to keep in the pack just in case, weighs next to nothing.

    A must have for me when it's cold! Easily fits in a pocket and warms me quickly. I usually use it alone but have layered it over a silk balaclava a couple times in backcountry and layered it under a polypro balaclava on an extended hunt which turned brutally cold. The woolie performed wonderfully! Also, I've worn it rolled up as a cap around town. I nearly always have one of these with me in winter.
