The silk and nylon socks are perfect for wearing with sports clothing or dressier pants. They are thicker than standard trouser socks but still lightweight. Rather thin, they still help keep feet warm.

It will take some time to see how these hold up. I prefer a lightweight sock for nearly everyday wear to work, often with boots, and got three of these to replace many a pair of long worn coolmax socks. I probably could have sized down to the small but went with medium. They stretch a bit and pill--several wearings will tell if they can replace the old socks but otherwise are of an nice light but solid weight.
These are very lightweight socks and will not be for warmth. The could be used as thin dress socks or even use as liners.

yes, I think they are warm. I have only worn them with warm shoes, however, because I live in Kansas and it's pretty cold now. But they do feel just wonderful, and come to think of it, when I get home from work I remove my boots and wear them "Chinese Style", with flip flops and my feet stay plenty warm---even in a 65 degree house!
