Not at all what I expected compared to other brands

When I first tried my Terramar Long Underwear Bottoms, I was perplexed at their lack of "silkiness" in their texture. It did not slide so well underneath my clothing as well as my less-expensive silk underwear counterparts in my dresser. However, because they were being sold by a reputable company and had a bit higher price tag I decided to not send them back and to try them to see if they did, indeed keep me warmer or if I had a different experience with them.
They did keep me just as warm as my other silk underwear brands that I wear and they were comfortable once I got them on (my jeans do not slide over them as easily as other brands), however, I noticed that after only a few wears they had a run in them. And one run led to 2 runs. I wore them hardly at all last winter, as they would get worn only as a last choice of clean underwear. I just brought them out this year and started to wear them again. After only a few more times of wearing almost the entire leg is full of runs, including the crotch. They are almost useless at this point.
As for my care of them, I have washed them only in cold water and hang to dry.
This is honestly the first review I have ever taken to write on any item for lack of time. I am a rancher and wear silk long underwear daily under all of my clothing. All of my other brands of held up for years. I am completely dumbfounded how a brand like this could still be selling their product with such poor quality.
