Terramar Sport Silks Long Underwear Shirt - Long Sleeve (For Women)

I like to wear silk under my flannel PJ's in our damp NorCal winters. Sleeping in a cool room it is just the right extra warmth, without being constrictive or bulky. Previous silk tops have sometimes really disappointed with shrinking and falling apart. No shrinkage yet. We'll see how they last, but I am impressed so far.

This is my second set of top and bottom. First set lasted somewhere around 10 years (can't remember exactly when I bought them). Others have mentioned that they are thin and they are --quite thin and see-through, actually. Yet, that is what makes them perfect under tight-fitting clothes, heavier long underwear, and wool clothing. Love them!

Ordered for layering since I'm always cold. Provides some warmth around the house but is thinner than expected. Seems to be good quality.

Bought one for my Mom years ago. Took years to wear out and she asked for another! Priceless

I wear these from October to April in Connecticut and I've told many people about how lightweight and effective they are. Best to wash them on Delicate, though, and let them air dry so they hold up longer.

I live in Florida and use it for layering in the cold weather.

These silk "undershirts" are great! Warm, lightweight, not bulky. They can be layered under cashmere sweaters (which are usually ligher weight)comfortably, so you can stay a bit warmer and not itch. This goes for wool sweaters, too. This is my second one of these as my first one is about worn out! They do last well and can be machine washed, although I tend to hand-wash mine.

I bought this and the matching leggings on the advice of fellow STP reviewers to wear as travel pyjamas/emergency underlayer. It certainly takes up no room at all in my suitcase - tick - and weighs nothing - tick, tick. Dont know yet if it's warm but it feels nice against the skin so I'm going with it. My one reservation is that it is VERY SEE-THROUGH ( and this is the black - the lighter colours must be worse). Hope there isnt a fire at the hotel - I'd have to scurry around finding something to cover me up before I went public. Probably not great for mixed camping! I'm packing a spare pair of undies and a camisole to wear underneath.

I walk outside almost every day regardless of the weather. On the coldest days this layer helped me to be warm and comfortable for the whole trip. It's so comfortable I leave it on even when I'm inside.

True, this is too see-through to wear on its own. But, if you can get over that - it's awesome! I had been chilly all day, came home to find this waiting for me..put it on, and was toasty in minutes! I wish I had gotten other colors!
