This was the first wool top that I have ever purchased, and I will never buy another synthetic top now, after using this. I was on a three week western hunt, and after the first three days all three of my synthetic tops were ready for the wash, or to be buried. Time to break out the new woolie.I hate to admit that I wore this for over a week. The best thing that I like about the wool top is that they don't smell bad after a few hours, or days of use. You can't wear a synthetic top two days in a row with out some serious odor problem.

Maybe the rest of you expect this, but this underlayer top is extremely itchy! It claims not to be, but is, even after washing.

I was hoping to use these Terramar Woolskins as an underlayer with my cross-country ski suit. To work, they need to be form fitting. However, this top and the corresponding bottoms are loose fitting to the point where they will not work. Even after washing I find them a bit scratchy, but I'm very sensitive to wool and bought these to see if they just might work. I'm afraid they don't.

I am pleased with this top and the matching bottoms I bought. I am planning to wear it this winter for many purposes. We need this kind of thing up north for ever-day wear. I like that it is wool and silk so it will breath. I am sorry that it was made in China however, and this makes me feel guilty. The top fits great but the bottoms were a little bit short for my tall frame.

Great for cycling if you are cheap, don't want your clothes to stink after the sweat dries, and don't feel the need to look like a racer wannabe. They really don't stink anywhere near as bad as polypro after you've sweated in them. I wear it for cool commutes and throw a windbreaker over the top if it's a little colder. Bad points - the collar is kind of loose and feels like it would stretch easily. If you sweat like a pig (like me) it doesn't really soak up your sweat, kind of channels it down to your pants. The material is not terribly durable, I don't wear it mtn biking because I think branches and stuff would tear it pretty easily. Even so, a merino top for this price is a pretty sweet deal.

Bought these to wear while canoeing and camping in northern Minnesota and Canada. Needed something to keep me warm, yet lightweight and that could dry quickly if necessary. These fit the bill. I usually don't like close fitting clothing, but I quickly became comfortable in this top. It dried pretty quickly when needed (usually as I was wearing it) and kept me warm at night. Recommended, but wash before wearing to remove any itchy feeling.

Very comfortable. Not quite as comfortable as the bottoms, but I have no problem wearing them to bed. Most shirts cut off circulation to my arms, but not these. Slightly itchy out of the bag, but one washing helped. You still know they're wool, but still very, very comfortable. Worth the price.
