I have found several other brands for less money that do a better job of keeping you warm in cold (20's or below). These may be ok for temps warmer than 20 degrees, but then who needs them if it is that warm. Not a good buy for the money.

I wore these in freezing rain & snow while hunting in treestand for 2 1/2 hours. They did a great job keeping me comfortable enough to stay, which is half the battle.

I'm very happy with these. They were very slightly itchy at first but after a washing and some wearing I have found the itchiness gone and a very comfortable wear. I like that they are a snug fit- keeps in the warmth and they fit under pants. (I am of slim build so a larger person may find them a bit tight?) I use them whenever I go out in the cold and rain- either for pleasure or when working. No bad odor like the plastic stuff. I like the idea of a natural fiber next to the skin. Only complaint is that the crotch is a bit too low, making a very wide, or a straddling stance slightly constricted. I do highly recommend them however and would buy them again.

Pros:
Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking
Best Uses:
Cold Weather, First layer only, Snow Sports
Fit:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Use as a first layer.
Needs help in cooler or windy weather.
Comfortable
Has some stretch allows pretty much unrestricted movement. Unlike a lot of plastic clothes.
Seems to have that natural "glow" of wool rather than the unnatural lack of feel plastic clothes have.

The wool is thin and comfortable and the fit is good. I got these for cold weather and they're not as warm as I wished. I've since got the Smartwool midweight longjohns and they're much thicker (at twice the price). The Terramar longjohns might be good if being thin is a priority - otherwise I don't find them any better than [$] longjohns from walmart.

These were a great additional layer for cycling, and were also great to have on when watching a football game in 40 degree weather. Another nice feature is that when you come back inside, they don't feel too warm.
