Bought these as replacement sneakers for my 3.5 year old daughter. The build quality is excellent, but they are very heavy and quite rigid. They should really be listed specifically as low-top hiking boots/shoes. My daughter already has a pair so I ended up returning these. The weight in the listing is correct - the size 10s weighed about 8.5 ounces each, which is quite heavy.

We searched locally, and the sneakers/running shoes we ended up weighed under 4 ounces per shoe, less than half the weight - this is much better for everyday wear. The sneakers/running shoes also have more padding and flexibility.

If you're looking for a good hiking shoe for your child, these are a great option. If you're looking for an everyday shoe, I recommend looking for something else.

These Teva shoes were exactly the right thing for my daughter. True to size, they are much easier to put on than the Keens she's been wearing. They are also light weight and fun to run in. And they look adorable with her leggings and dresses. Super happy

We ordered these shoes for our son who tends to be very hard on his shoes. So far they have been great. Looking forward to seeing how they hold up over the duration. He seems to love them. Would order them again.

Don't cheap out, spend a little extra and get a good quality shoe for your kiddo and you won't have to replace them as soon!

  • Question “Is the size 7 a toddler 7 or a "not quite adult shoe size" 7?”

Asked on 9/7/2014 10:37:24 PM by MomOfBoys from Chicago, IL
    • Answer Size 7 is the largest kids' size before adult sizing.

    • Answer My five year old ordered a size 11, so size 11 will be toddler size. She usually wears a 9 or 10 but the 10 was too small so we exchanged them for size 11. So I would order larger than your child's regular size.
