    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I loved these shoes and was so disappointed to have to return them. The fit was great and I loved the closed uppers that would let water in and out but keep sand out. Unfortunately I never got to try them because the tongue was convex and stiff and cut into my ankles. Had the tongue been concave and flexible, they probably would have been perfect!

    I bought these shoes to wear for water aerobics upon an instructions recommendation. I purchased a size smaller after reading customer reviews. The tongue on the shoe was stiff and bothersome in the beginning, and is okay now. They have good traction, go on and off easily and light weight, support my joints and take two days to dry outside.
