I bought a pair for myself for playing around/near the water. My wife got a look and wanted a pair for herself. She loves them - wears them everywhere.

Too short for a size 11, and that's as big as they go--sending them back!

I have used them for kayaking, hiking in streams. They are so comfortable I wear them around day to day. They dry quickly and leave not funky smell. I loved them so much I bought a pair for my wife and kids. Highly reccommended. Great price on closeout.

  • Question “I am looking at doing a 12.5 mile obstacle race. Will these be good for running and keeping traction in mud?”
Asked on 4/11/2012 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer Teva Churn Amphibious Shoes dont have a great amount of tred on them. You might want to consider something with a beefier outsole
Answered on 4/11/2012 12:00:00 AM by Prod. Spec. Ryan from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer The traction is great, but I don't know if they have enough support for 12.5 miles. I've used them on indoor cardio machines (stationary bikes, elliptical, walking on a treadmill), and while they have some cushioning and support, they're not the same as true running shoes. If it's mainly obstacles with a little bit of running, you're probably good; if it's more running than obstacles or you're really attached to your running shoes, though, you might want to stick with them.
Answered on 4/20/2012 12:00:00 AM by Zipline29 from Denver, CO
    • Answer No, this will not be very good for traction. You better buy trail running shoes or special orienteering shoes which are better for this purpose.
Answered on 5/6/2012 12:00:00 AM by Jezi from Buffalo, NY
    • Answer Yes, the soles are similar to running shoes (long distance ones), and I think they would grip good.
Answered on 6/5/2012 12:00:00 AM by Dz Katt from Madison, WI
    • Answer Personally would not wear these for racing, particularly over challenging terrain. They lack stability, support and tread for adverse trail conditions. A light-hiking shoe or trail-runner would be a better option. Good luck!

  • Question “Going on a river/hiking trip and guides recommended 5 10 brand shoes. Ordered the Savant womens shoe and didn't like, no arch support. How would this shoe stand up to the hiking portion of a trip? Not quite as serious as the Grand Canyon hike, but still a hike carrying at least a 20 pound backpack.”
