I've been wearing "water shoes" since I discovered Salomon Techamphibian shoes about 4 years ago. I'm glad to see other makers offering them as well. My feet sweat anytime the temperature is above 60 so the ventilated mesh construction is very welcome. I can't wear sandals at my work, but these f... Read More

We bought these for my 12 year old son, who at as size 11, is loving the ease of taking these sneakers on and off. Sadly laces are "annoying" so my son has made these his go to sneaker. They are light weight and fit great. The color is perfect and he reports they are super comfortable.

Ok. I have not had these in the water yet so they are not battle tested yet. It's been a bit chilly here in Wisconsin. I can say that they look nice, and feel nice on my feet. Much more like a water "shoe" and not a water "sock". I was tired of those cheap water socks always falling apart after one trip to the beach. I bought these for kayaking and canoeing and I think they'll be just what I was looking for.

As for sizing, they seemed spot on to what I wear for street shoes. I did NOT order one size bigger as others have suggested, and I'm glad I didn't. I can't speak for how they might fit someone else, but that's how they fit me.

I bought this for my partner when he admired my Teva water shoes. He loves them.

I frequently float and wade fish in streams. I have been searching for the "perfect" all-around "creek shoes" for several years now. Worn out sneakers used to be my shoe of choice for protecting my feet when fording streams, but their weight when wet, inability to dry out, and horrible smell sent me looking for something better. Two years ago I bought a pair of sandle-type water shoes, big clunky things. These worked pretty good but have failed to hold up after about 10 creek trips (the glue holding the upper to the soles has completely given way).

    About the Teva's:

Pros: Incredibly light-weight. Removable insole (good for ease of drying). Great bungie-style lace system.

    Cons: None yet.

I haven't taken them out on a creek yet, however, if worn with socks to keep out river gravel, they seem like they will perform admirably. The tread on the soles seems more than adequate to handle slipperly rocks.

Also, the upper is mostly a heavy-duty mesh that seems like it will dry out very easily.

He loves them - they fit great & he actually is using them for roofing because of the great traction on them.
