Unlike the Salomon you don't have to break it in - it's comfortable right out of the box. I did note that it's 1/2 size smaller than others. I normally wear 8.5 so I have to get 9. Minor gripe - the slip in function is not as easy to slip in as Salomon but feel secure once in.
