I got these for walking on the beach at night when I moved to Florida...for one thing...the long walks in the sand were starting to hurt my heels....secondly...my son stepped on a jelly fish...I wanted to protect myself from them and sharp shells. Very very comfortable..would wear as a reagular snea...

I love the look of these, but something is a little off… while my toes hit the end zone, there's too much play in the heel and the adjustment straps don't go tight enough to solve the problem. I added some thin sole inserts and that helped. Maybe they'll get broken in…..

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are sturdy and I can see why the are referred to as "Amphibious" They are made of material that is perfect for water with great drainage overall and they are sturdy enough to be an exceptional land sandal. This is one of the best purchases I have made online.

I am completely in love with these. I was saddened to give up my Teva's that had survived 3 years at year round camps. But these are totally fantastic. They're comfortable and easy to slip on or off while still giving plenty of support.

They aren't walking on pillows, like some of my previous Teva sandals but for what I need them for they are going to work great. I needed closed toed shoes with a solid sole for lot's of walking that would keep my feet cool on summer days and also be able to get soaked during my day and dry quickly. Working on a farm it can be really hot, really wet or both in a day and these shoes will keep me comfortable, dry quickly and protect my toes while I am working.

Selected on line. Shoe was as per picture and I'm very happy with them. At first I got a 7 which was too big. Exchanged for a 6 1/2 with little effort. Total transaction for my exchange was a total of about $6 for shipping (can't credit sales tax - that's one way). Timing was excellent on the first delivery and on the exchange delivery. Did not have to wait for the return in order to get the exchanged item in the mail. Sierra is definitely on my list of places to shop.
Like you, I've had some that never seem to dry, and I want some to use every other day for my aquatic classes, or daily at the beach. These fall into the never dry for me category. Plus, my first pair fell apart super quickly from never drying out.
I'd pass on these for what you're looking for, especially on a regular basis.

Would NOT select this style for your purposes. The open design would impede swift movement underwater, & lots of sand could get in shoe. The Ewaso as a water shoe would be for canoeing, rafting, etc. Mine dry well after a machine wash on delicate, but they don't shed water like some footwear. I love & wear this shoe for other reasons like support, comfort, being adjustable, but I wear it TO the pool NOT in the water.

I typically wear 9.5 in an open Teva sandal but a 10 in a closed style. I tried both in the Ewaso & kept the larger, BUT I wanted to wear with socks post foot surgery & for excursions. I machine wash them in warm water & air dry without any shrinkage. You can adjust heel & top strap size, & the toe box is roomy. so I would try the 6 rather than go up to the 7.

I don't have this exact model, but I have 3 pairs of Texas and they are all amply sized. I'd go with the 6.
