I haven't yet been on my river adventure, but have tried them out on a wet day in Manhatten and they performed perfectly. Good sizing, comfortable. Should not need too much "walking in ". I would recommend them

They are comfortable, and I find I do have to "lace up" each time rather than just slip into them. This keeps them on snuggly. Have not been out in the dew yet to test the water resistance.

I have about six pairs of Tevas. I'm not a sneakers kind of gal...til now! These shoes are so comfortable! When I go to walk my dogs I put a pair on and sometimes I skip socks. They have some stretch to them and aren't tight anywhere. Love them!
