They were comfortable right out of the box but I will probably add additional support and cushioning because I have wimpy feet. I like the looks of them as well. I ordered a half size larger because of other comments and am glad I did....they fit perfectly.

Because I can put my orthontics in, I can actually go for longer hikes with these. Comfortable and lightweight, perfect for summer. I don't plan to hike in mud or snow with them.

Reviewed by parvic from longmont, CO on Monday, July 09, 2012I got these shoes for hiking when I didn't feel a need to wear my full support heavier & sturdier hiking boots. I really like these shoes, but they lack arch support (i have a higher arch) and they seem to narrow unnecessarily around the toe box. Also I did't realize they were as low as they are around the ankles----I thought they came up a little bit higher to add some "limited" ankle support, but there is none. The shoes is very well made, however, and comfortable, traction was good.

They were comfortable right out of the box and suited my hikes up rocky trails and wet trail conditions around water falls. In addition, they are nice-looking!
