They were perfect for our trip to Alaska. We went to the Mendenhall Glazier and while everyone had to stay on the trail I took the short cuts trough the water and feet were absolutely dry and warm. We hiked in the rainforest in Ketchikan too no problem good footing, absolutely comfortable. I'd highly reccomend these shoes but only buy them from Sierra Trading Post. It was supposed to be summer in Alaska ha ha I came prepared it was 54 -60 degrees and very rainy so these shoes got me through, thanks
