The shoe has a large toe box so it is really comfortable. I wear a 12 1/2 D normall but I can wear a 12 with this tie box!

I bought these shoes because I needed water shoes to match a uniform (so they needed to be brown and look like a shoe, not a sandal). I got exactly what I was looking for there, but I had to order a whole size smaller than my normal shoe size for them to fit properly. They appear to be very well made and they fit just like a regular shoe, which I like much more than the sandal feel anyway. The only down side is that the instep portion of the sole on the outside of the footbed is rather large and therefore moderately uncomfortable. I assume it'll wear down with time, but for now it's not a shoe I want to spend a long time in. I haven't worn it in water yet, so I can't comment on how it drains or grip. Other than that, it's a well made shoe that looks good.

Used these for a 10 day trip through Costa Rica during the rainy season with lots of hiking, kayaking, and rafting and they worked great the whole time.

I am a graduate student and had a specific purpose in mind for these shoes: wading in creaks/rivers setting and checking turtle traps. I picked these because they were cheap and had good reviews for traction. Overall, the shoes are pretty comfortable (a bit narrow for my EEE wide feet, but still okay). Traction has been A+ even on flat mossy rock. I have been wearing these shoes without socks, which I will not do again. Although the shoes flush water and small sand well, sand/gritty silt had been getting stuck in the inner shoe lining, acting like sand paper on my ankles. Still, nothing wearing a pair of socks can't fix. Overall great shoes, but if plan on doing a lot of walking in water with sand - wear socks.
