However, the adult size 7 is just a bit shorter than the child size, but the child's sandal is very narrow. We kept them because fortunately, they work for my two daughters. Just thought I'd let others know.

Answer The youth heal is about 1 1/8th inches vs the approximate 1 1/2 inch adult.|They are almost exactly the same between a size 12 and size 2. They taper down to about 1/2 inch at the toe, where the adult size tapers to 3/4 inch.
