I bought these for my 13-year-old son to wear to the beach. The sizing is right on, and he says they are comfortable and lightweight. They really look nice, too, very sleek. He never has Tevas long enough to wear out. I?ve always bought him Tevas because they are safer than flipflops, and this is clearly another winner.

I bought these sandals in the summer with the sole purpose to have something to walk on the beach with and use instead of flip-flops when I shower. However, when I went on a trip to Petra, Jordan I forgot my hiking shoes in the car at the border with Israel and had to hike all day (6+ hrs) in the sand and rock with these sandals.

Here is my experience with them:

+ Very sturdy, won't break apart
+ Very good grip - did not have problems slipping
+ Decent arch support (I am flat footed and very sensitive to that, but had no problems)
+ Compact easily to fit in the baggage

    - The edges of the straps are a little sharp and gave me a small blister, but that can be expected given that I hiked for 6+ hrs in them

    All In all, amazing product.

If you like Teva Pterodactyl type sandals or any of their other water friendly sandals, you will love these. While other Tevas have been great, they tend to be fairly heavy. These new Northridge sandals go with the new minimalist trend that is sweeping the country lately. They are much lighter and much sleeker than the average water sandal from Teva or any other manufacturer. So what do you give up? I'd say not too much, but to be fair, the arch support is much less, so these might not be a sandal you'd want to hike in, though some will probably say they work fine for that purpose. Bottom line, I love them and bought a second pair as soon as I saw how great they were. Definitely a must buy.

Bought a pair for each of my teenage boys. Fit is true to size, sandals are lightweight and dry quickly.

I have had these for about a week now and I love them. They are very comfortable and many people have told me how cool they look. I went on a steep short 2 mile hike up some loose rocks for the last part of the hike and they were great to hike in. I wore them around the campfire this weekend with socks at night and they were comfortable. I am an 8.5 and that fit me perfectly. I am seriously considering getting another pair for when these wear down.

They look attractive in the pictures, but they are not very comfortable. I had the correct size, length-wise, but the material the strap goes over at the first joint of the big toe was not well aligned over that joint, causing discomfort there. I have pretty normal feet - not wide or fat - but the straps everywhere were tight even when maximally loosened. I'm not sure what "sport" sandal means, but the sole was thin and pretty flat, giving little support or comfort, especially on uneven surfaces. I had to return them.
