I've written a review on these shoes when I first received them and gave them good reviews. I now have had an opportunity to try them out when the rain got here this spring and they are NOT waterproof: the leaks are in the toes area. So I am disappointed. This is the first pair of waterproof shoes I've purchased that's failed. So fine for dry weather, but don't use them in wet weather. For that, stick with Asolo, Salomon, Merrel. I've had great results with those brands.

I hike in hilly terrain about 5 or 6 miles a day. These shoes are stable, waterproof and a real value. I own two pair. Be aware they are very stiff around the ankle and they come up a little high, so they rub my ankle bones (something you might watch for when trying them out). I am hoping these will soften at that that point over time. Overall a lot of shoe for the money.

I've been buying Teva shoes for a while now. I usually pick Merrells or Tevas. Teva shoes seem to be a lot more comfortable than Merrells. Merrells tend to be harder on the feet, but their style is better than Tevas. Merrell cushioning seems to expire faster than Tevas because after awhile, Merrells don't feel as comfortable while the Tevas are still great. From Teva's extremely comfortable flip-flops to their shoes, I've never had a pair that was not comfortable. Something about the cushioning that makes it standout. These Raith eVent(R) Trail Shoes are no exception. Actually, I think it's the best one of all the Tevas I've bought. My feet are just so comfy in these things and I haven't felt pain or discomfort wearing them.
