These boots are defective and should not be sold anywhere. I ordered 8.5, my normal size, and it was too small. Exchanged them for size 9 - still small. Finally, 9.5 came and left shoe was visible shorter than the right one. Total tally - one boot out of six, one full size larger than normal fit me. Paying shipping each time has been adding insult to injury.

First I want to say that these were some of my favorite boots I own. I have many pairs of boots but these were my go to cause of the comfort, weight, waterproof and warmth. Then the seems on each shoe by the small toe started to make a hole. The shoes were basically worn for 3 weeks maybe and the seems failed. If they held up would of recommended them as one of the best boots not only for price but for everything stated above. Maybe I got a bad pair but wont be trying again.

Lite Weight Warm enough for cold weather active use Sizing was good for lite socks Wish Teva would return to making a taller Lite Weight Boot, like they used to

I din't comment about this boot in wet conditions since we are in our dry season. The boots do fit aggressively in the toe area (from the sides), which is a positive for me when hiking downhill based upon the shape of my foot. These boots are very comfortable and well cushioned, but those with wide feet (or fat toes) may have issues with the fit.

  • Question “I am concerned my feet may get too hot, since I don't plan to winter hike. Are they heavily insulated? Is there a non-insulated version of this boot?||I wear a size 9. With hiking socks do you recommend ordering 1/2 size up or do they already compensate for hiking socks?||Thank you.”

    • Answer Here's a link for a pair of shoe's I think might work for you. I would recommend ordering a whole size larger.|http://www.sierratradingpost.com/teva-verdon-trail-shoes-suede-for-men~p~3969a/?filterString=Teva~b~20120%2Faveragereview~4%2F&colorFamily=01

    • Answer Assuming that you are going to wear these outside, the 200 grams of insulation is quite minimal for harsh winter conditions so I wouldn't worry about feet becoming too hot.||As far as sizing, they are already a 1/2 size too small and with heavy socks, I would order a full size larger.

    • Answer i wore them all day inside and didn't get too hot, not sure how they would be hiking in the summer or real cold. i would say good for cool weather(not hot or cold). i also ordered a 1/2 larger and it fit me perfectly with medium socks on
