I have two other black pair (one flat, one wedge heel) for a year or two now and they have served me well. I have worn them as my main shoes for two trips in Europe, and I thought these would be perfect for our my upcoming work trip since they are a little higher and might be better for transitioning into evening (I am in wine sales and I need something that would work walking in vineyards and cellars but also dinners out at restaurants). I love how they look and got many compliments on the day I wore these, but they felt like a torture device by the end of the day. The thin straps across the top cut badly into the tops of my feet and toes after a few hours. That will not work. I have normal sized feet, not narrow or wide. I was going to just return them but I may try to stretch them first. I really really want these to work! My other black Teva wedges are so great, but these look a little more elegant.

They stay on well and fit comfortable across the forefoot. They are true to size for the Teva heels (8). I buy the Teva flats 1/2 size smaller (7.5).

I have relatively thick ankles and the velcro ankle strap was still way too long, making it stick out in an annoying way. One of the toe straps was too loose and the other was painfully tight. My sister, who wears size 11 as well (but different foot shape), tried these on and had the same problems. I liked the grippy sole and found the shoe length and width true to size, but the strap situation made me decide to return these.

I got them in olive - a perfect neutral. They look great on my feet; the ankle strap is comfortable; the sole is well padded & they're true to size. I wore them around the house for a few hours, in air conditioned comfort (80F today)....and now I am concerned. I had to take them off after a while because the thin straps at the very front and later the ones a little further up on the toes began hurting. I took off the shoes and there were deep marks on my feet were the straps had cut in....youch! There *is* some give to the straps, so I'm hoping they'll stretch. They'll have to give quite a bit since they'll only feel worse walking outside, especially in the summer. Pretty and mostly comfy. I'm hoping my experience is like that of another reviewer whose sandal straps did stretch with time. For the record, I've never had issues with foot swelling and am not overweight. I'll update if the straps 'give'.
