These shoes have a solid grip on all surfaces tried so far, have not let in a drop of water, but are cool and comfortable enough to wear to work. I ordered a half size larger than usual and that was a good choice--fit is perfect. Recommended.

Reviewed by R McCarren from Ohio on Thursday, May 16, 2013Just a bit tight right out of the box but loosened up after just a few wearings. Comfortable on paved surface. I have not have them on wet surface yet but they have the teva soles so they should be fine. I own a pair of teva sandals and really like them. They are a little high at the ankle bone but maybe that is just me. They are not so bad as too return. I like them for tooling around town or hiking through parks etc.

Also has a flat sole (no instep cut-out) with a regular wave-pattern texture. That is all great for traction on a sailboat deck, but may not really be the best choice of trail hiking in rocky/uneven terrain. I'm only sending mine back because of the toe room issue.

They are light and supportive, I have no idea how long they will last but even if the shoes dont last a long time the object, a light shoe that is easy to walk in (and I need to walk more) it more than fills the bill.
