“Great all-around casual shoes”

“I just bought my second pair of these shoes, and have left them in the box in my closet, in case my first pair wears out someday. I've had the first pair for over a year, and wear them often, primarily as casual shoes, but also for travel, canoeing/kayaking, and as my everyday bedroom slippers. They may be my all-time favorite shoes. They are extremely comfortable, with a roomy toe box. They fit snugly when hitched tight, and still stay on well when worn unhitched. They are excellent travel shoes. On a week-long trip to NM last year I took two pairs of shoes - these and my hiking boots. They are perfect for long flights and car rides, as well as for walking around towns and airports, and they slip on and off easily for security checks. They are not supportive enough for hiking on uneven terrain, but I suppose you can't have everything. After a year the first pair still looks and performs almost as new, although I have had to re-rig one lace because it frayed and would no longer tighten. The only negative is that they run a size small for me, but knowing that in advance lets me size up.”
