“The hardest use I have put these sandals to was a five day trip to the Adirondacks. I bicycled 82 miles in the sandals the first day, and then spent the next three days hiking about 10-12 miles a day with a backpack, mostly in the rain. The sandals were very comfortable and they were handy because they were just as good wet or dry. If I'd worn boots they would have been wet all the time and I would likely have gotten blisters. I did wear regular shoes to bike home on the last day, as my feet were a little sore from all of the activity and the sun was shining. I bought a new pair to wear this summer when I go back, although the ones I have are not showing signs of wear. They're a few years old and I figure better safe than sorry. I'll still wear the old ones closer to home. I took the photo as a joke after I climbed over a fallen tree onto what looked like solid ground but was in fact a mudhole halfway up a hill.”
