First, the shoulders/sleeves are raglan-style (i.e. there is no seam at the shoulder/arm pit). This actually makes the jacket more flexible and accommodating to those of us with broader shoulders. This coat is great, although I don't think it will be warm enough on a Northern New York, sub zero day. It is more of a Fall-Spring coat.
