My niece had these boots and I saw & tried them on at Christmastime. She and I both like how easy it is to tighten the laces. At 10 degrees F. walking my dog outside for over 3/4 of a mile on cold asphalt,my legs and feet were warm. Realize that I was also dressed for the cold with "long john" under my jeans warm mittens, a scarf....

One of the best features is the sole of the boot! The day before these boots arrived I'd taken the same walk with my dog and slipped on ice on the road.
the very next day there was more slick ice and I never slipped once even though my dog was slipping.

I wear a 8M and ordered an 8 1/2 to accommodate thicker wool socks. I'm very fussy about fit and these feel great. I don't think I'd traipse through deeper snow with these, not walk in snow without the foot warmers. Although, stepping into deep snow to retrieve dog waste ;-) did not make my legs cold.

These boots were a great deal! Warm and fashionable. Unfortunately I wanted them so much that I bought them a half size up because they didn't have them in my size & they are just too big so I will have to return them. I am an 8 and I bought the 8.5.

I have a high instep but very narrow feet. I could not get the boot on my foot.

These are not a winter boot though. You might as well just wrap your feet up in plastic bags for all the protection these offer. Sending them back to try something more insulated.
They do look cool though. In a 1970 space drama kind of way.

These boots are fantastic, even in -17 F temps with one foot of snow. After clunking around in Sorel-type boots for years, I am very pleased with the light and trim feel of these. I was able to hike through fresh deep snow comfortably - they feel more like running shoes than snow boots, but keep your feet warm and dry. The foot bed is great. I have a history of plantar fascitis and these boots don't flare it up like many others. Also pleased with the traction. I've had the boots about a week now and am hoping they last for 20 years!

I bought these to go with my new SKEA down coat (also purchased from STP). They compliment the coat beautifully. These are easy on and off. The ties are easy to use. I like that the ties let me cinch up the width of the shaft around the ankles and legs, as I have narrower feet (between a B and an AA). Good to go for winter.
