I love this jacket. I wore this the first time for a road cycling trip. It is soft and flexible, unlike some other softshells. It definitely kept the wind off me but it wasn't too hot. It seems a little large for the medium size, but that means I can wear more layers under it wihtout being too tight. I like the slightly dropped tail. The color is very bright and good for road biking. I don't know yet how it will perform in light rain, but I really like it and plan to use it all the time for cool to slightly cold riding.

This jacket is really light weight and flexible. I will probably use it most as a wind barrier hiking my dogs and may try it for a run in tougher weather. The green color is really fun and bright. My 16 year old daughter liked it as well (she may steal it now and then!)

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
