These swimming trunks are just what we wanted for my son. They are attractive, well-made, and fit well. The web belt makes the waist sizing completely adjustable. The mesh pockets drain water well and do not get all puffy in the water. The length is perfect for water-based activities, and at just above the knee, they won't be all klingy when wet, like long "board shorts" do. I do not know yet how well the material will hold up, but North Face has a good reputation for sturdiness that we hope applies here. However, the material is light-weight, so I do not believe these would work well as a "creek short" for all day hiking and water activities. They seem more like a straight-up canoeing/boating/swimming short.

Fit: Solid. I have a 34" waist and the fit of the size M is good. I am 6'1" and the supposed 9" inseam seems just a tad on the short side for my long legs. STP description: Weak. This is a swimming suit with a liner, not shorts. Please provide better inseam info STP. Quality: Solid North Face. Very light/quick dry fabric, decent pockets, good styling. Put to the test water skiing and came out shining. STP value: Solid.
