FIrst, this skirt runs small. I am usually between 8-10 and had to buy a 12, which is still a little snug across the hip but fits well in the waist. Very comfortable stretch shorts underneath and flattering otherwise, but size up if you want comfort!

Held high hopes for this since I'm a skort fiend & North Face is quite reputable. But if you have hips & a booty to contend w/, the side lace-up enclosure is not flattering & the skirt portion of the skort will ride up above the shorts. Great material though & certainly cute for the right figure. Unfortunatley, I'll have to send it back.

The skirt is of course adorable. I do not like that the flap where you tie the skirt sticks out some. Also the cargo pockets that attracted me to the skirt are not very useful as the skirt is fitted and therefor the pockets are tight. But hey...looks good. However they are deep pockets and I would feel safe to stash my money and id in them. I do like the velcro back pocket as well. The under pants sown in them are comfortable and allow me to be confident is such a short skort and perhaps I ought to give four starts instead of three for that. The stupid flap bugs me though and may not bug someone else. The material is like that of board shorts but on the soft side.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
