    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I walk 2 - 3 miles every day on paved roads and occasionally hike on mountainous terrain. I was looking for a pair of cushioned, stable lightweight shoes. I also have very narrow heels so many shoes tend to slip in the back. These shoes fit the bill perfectly. I had been wearing Salomon shoes for the past few years and tried at least 5 different Salomon styles in an effort to duplicate what I had, but had no luck. Then I found these -- and presto, no break-in time, no back strain, no heel slippage. they're great! i ordered a 2nd pair. only downside -- not water proof and your feet will get wet in the rain. wish they made a gore-tex pair!

Extremely comfortable and lightweight hiker. They're good looking and performed very well on my recent Silver Creek Falls five mile hike. Not waterproof but otherwise I love them.

I wore these shoes on a backpcking trip into Olympic Natl Park and I loved them. After having problems with blisters in my heavy hikers, I thought I would try light ones and these were great. They were sturdy enough for the boulders on the shore and had great traction for the mud in the rainforest. They are not waterproof but did dry fairly well. I ordered a half size larger than usual and they were good for a medium weight sock.

From the malls to the trails, these shoes have quickly become my trusted friends. I like everything about this shoe (color, weight, Vibram sole, moister wicking inner sole, and style). I would order them 1/2 size up (from the size of your dress shoes) if you want to wear them with a heavier sock and and the ability to really wiggle your toes in the toe box. I ordered a 7, I wear a 7 dress shoe, and I am fine with it, as these type of shoes stretch a little, over time and will be absolutely perfect.
