Closeouts. They might be called booties, but don’t let The North Face’s Nuptse II down booties name fool you; these slipper-boot hybrids are packed with 700 fill power down and feature a super-sturdy traction outsole to stand up to the perils of the forest floor at the campground.

My feet are no longer cold! I wanted the black pair and instead all there were left were the rede and the color isn't bad at all. The rubber/thick sole is great if I just want to go outside to grab some firewood or even go to the store. I have only been wearing them for a couple of weeks and I haven't found anything wrong with them. So far, the stitching is holding up and the sole doesn't show any crazy wear. Its a nice boot to slip cold feet into!

Indispensable for the firewood run over the icy porch! Now these super-warm/cozy booties have enough tread to keep you from rump-skating in base camp, if not down the Lhotse face. Wish they could repel water a little better, but that comes with a weight-tag. Get the darker colored ones, if you can - it lessens the wise-cracks down at the Pour Shot when you realize you still have them on your feet....
