The comfortable soft waistband was a surprise but it rests just below my belly button! I am 5'6" 135 lb and the M is perfect for me. if I could change anything it would be the length, I would like the capris to be at least 2" longer but not a big deal, I am keeping them

The fabric is a nylon type fabric, but not the way nylon clothes used to be and not noisy! These capris are soft and comfortable with a nice drape.
