“Had toe surgery last year and have been hiking in running shoes that were size wide to accommodate the toe causing heel blisters so I had to make sure the hikes were short. Found these on STP for cheap and bought them. Threw them on for what turned out to be an 8 mile hike (longest since surgery). No heel slippage, no breaking in, no pain other than the toe, and GREAT traction compared to running shoes. May want to change laces - I didn't, but they can slip a little. These are light and cool for Spring/Summer hikes. Too bad they don't have GoreTex so they'd be waterproof too!”
