The North Face Prophecy Trail Shoes (For Women)

Lightweight, comfortable and good support. Size is true, nice orthodic insole!

I have a narrow foot and this shoes works well for me because it is a snug fit and easy to pull the laces tight. Traction and cushioning is great on the trails. I love the color combination.

Tried them on for about 5 minutes and found that only the one shoe bothered the outside of my foot. Must have been a defect. Needless to say I will buy them in a store If I can find them. Great looking shoe though!!

Didn't have time to break them in properly, and yet they were still very comfortable on two day hikes - one 14 miles and the other 5 miles. Warning: they do not stand up well to cacti. Especially thorny ones.

Had toe surgery last year and have been hiking in running shoes that were size wide to accommodate the toe causing heel blisters so I had to make sure the hikes were short. Found these on STP for cheap and bought them. Threw them on for what turned out to be an 8 mile hike (longest since surgery). No heel slippage, no breaking in, no pain other than the toe, and GREAT traction compared to running shoes. May want to change laces - I didn't, but they can slip a little. These are light and cool for Spring/Summer hikes. Too bad they don't have GoreTex so they'd be waterproof too!

I ordered these a size larger than I normally wear to provide ample room in the toe box while hiking and running on mountain trails. I also liked that they had a durable vibram sole. These shoes feel wonderful - I can't wait to hit the mountains and do tons of exploring this summer!

I bought these in a different color [...], and no I will buy this pair too.

Casual use and day hikes

I just received these and am loving them already. They're very comfortable, yet the sole is firm (w/no "wobble" or "squishiness") which is great for my OA knees. It's getting more difficult to find a great, comfy shoe that's not too soft or "squishy" in the heels, as that just kills my knees. These shoes just fit the bill - I'm thinking about ordering another pair for back-up. They will probably sell out quickly!
