My last pair of North Face trail running shoes were so outstanding that I wanted to try another made by North Face. I didn't get far with these as they fit too loosely to make a supportive trail shoe. Although a great concept, the soft shell fabric seemed stretchy and my foot felt unanchored in them. Although they fit in length, I had some heel slippage. Construction did not appear as durable as my last pair of NF. Needless to say they didn't feel like a trail shoe to me. I did not get to try them in wet conditions so can't comment on that factor. Bonus points though for great style, and light weight. I would recommend them for wearing around, but not on the trail.

Like all new products it takes a day or two for the person to get used to your new shoes. I use these shoes for all types of activities like work, walking, running, and water sports. They have great traction but not so much of an arch.

I have worn mostly Nike, Keen & Merrell but thought I would try these North Face shoes as I liked the color and the look. Well, these were just a fantastic buy. I walk for two hrs. every morning regardless of the weather. I ordered a size up in order to fit my orthotics which was the best decision. I have worn them for six months, every day, and they still do not show a bit of wear. They are the best walking shoe, every day shoe, that I have ever purchased. I love them so much, I ordered a second pair.

I am always looking for a tough waterproof trail runner (other than my cool dog) and North Face always seems to come out with a tough rugged trail runner that I can get great traction control on either dry rocky trails or wet snowy conditions, something that happens from day to day here in Colorado. The only issue for me is they seemed to take a couple of weeks of breaking in but I guess that supports their sturdy rugged support. I highly recommend these trail blazers.
