    had to go back I am a large in every jacket I own and I had to return for an XL

    This is so small for a medium I can't tell anyone yet how it really is. The outer shell is sort of glossy, semi-glossy. It has a nice weight and if it lives up to North Face standards it should be great for a chilly fall or spring day with some wind.
