I used these shoes to run in the snow (i live in the midwest). My feet were never cold or wet, even in 6 inches of snow. Traction is outstanding--always felt sure-footed in the snow.

We hike 3-5 miles three or four times a week. I have tried almost every brand of shoe and now wear only North Face GTX. Haven't had these long enough to judge durability, but all my other NF shoes have been quite long lasting. This is another example of getting what you pay for.

The arch support is awesome in this shoe.
North Face shoes as a whole have better arch support and insoles than any of the competition.
With other brands I almost always put aftermarket insoles in them right away.

I use these at work and in the field. They are comfortable and waterproof. I have purchased TNF shoes in the past so I know they fit. I have several different styles of TNF shoes and they all fit the same. I use these in warmer weather and a higher boot in colder. This is my 5th pair of TNF shoes. I will keep buying until they mess them up.
