These were purchased for my wife. She is absolutely thrilled with them. Perfect fit and water proof as advertised. They were instantly comfortable with no breaking in issues experienced. She uses them everyday on broken surface dirt roads and paddocks around our farm.

Overall, great shoe! However, if you have a slim to narrow foot, these shoes do run a little wide. If you're getting these shoes for hiking or trail running, you'll be very pleased with the traction. Good purchase & wonderful price!

I actually ordered a half size, up after getting a previous pair of North Face shoes in my normal size.
I did this because north face shoes can be a little narrow in the toe section. I like to spread my toes.
Half size up, for me, was a good call, as comfy as pair colombias.

I have several pair of TNF shoes. These are made well and are warm/waterproof. I use orthotic inserts and these shoes accomodate them well- as have all my other TNF shoes. The difference is that these shoes are really quite wide. I am sure these shoes are made that way for stability purposes but they really do make my feet look wide and short. The dual lacing system is strange. You almost have to use all the laces or the strings are too long otherwise. I guess that the idea is that you can customize the lacing for a customized fit but this concept does not really work on this shoe. Overall for the cost a good deal though.....

I got these to extend my running into wet and snowy weather in Maine. Just started using them and so far they are comfortable and the Gore-tex lining really keeps my feet dry.

Have looked for several years for shoes to wear when it turns cold and wet on the trail - these are the first pair I've bought that have worked out GREAT. So great that I purchased a second pair when I saw how well the first pair is. Now I don't have to search next winter for a pair of cold weather trail running shoes. The arch is a tiny bit low for my high arch feet but with my superfeet in there, work acceptably (just not as good a fit as my regular trail running shoes.)

I sent the original back and got a half size larger. If I had read the info given by Sierra, I would have know that hiking shoes should be ordered 1/2 size larger. I love these shoes - they give me very good traction
