The eyelet pattern and color of the fabric is fun and flirty. The material is cotton but seems a little rough, I'm hoping it will soften up when washed. It fits true to size and works alone or over an undershirt.

I couldn't wait to receive this shirt because it looked so beautiful on the internet display page. But when I received the top, I felt that the shirt looked simply OK on me, but not beyond OK. One of the reasons I returned it was because I thought the material felt a tiny bit warm for my Florida summers and the fact that I was expecting it to be a bit different (I expected a lighter weight, with a breezy type of look--kind of like the shirts that the actress, Jacqueline Bisset wore in the old 70s movie, "The Deep"), but instead, it was something I would wear during the late fall, or under a sweater in Florida, or to a late night summer movie, or perhaps over a tank top in an air-conditioned mall .
When I first tried on the shirt, without my eyeglasses, the floral-print lining on the "exposed inside collar" had a red flower that, at first glimpse, looked like a blotch of blood * on the inside, front collar, but when I put on my eyeglasses--it did look like a flower, after you looked at it for a few seconds.
Maybe it was the CONTRAST of a pale shirt with a couple of misplaced red flowers on the FRONT inside of the collar that did not look right!?
Good news: Probably each shirt sold will have a "differently placed" floral pattern on each of the inside FRONT collars and it will look much better.
When I received the shirt, all the tags were detached. After I tried on the shirt, I noticed that there was an odor * under the arm of the sleeves: I guess this was the final determinant as to why I returned this shirt.
Honestly, I would have kept this shirt if it were not for two of the things I mentioned * above, so maybe it will be a good buy for someone out there in STP land. It is a pretty pale color top. I will give it 3 stars out of 5 stars, but this is a personal decision that others may disagree with.
