I have used mine for years and LOVE it. I have used all sorts of pads in it, including a blue foamy, Neoair, regular thermarest, and nothing at all. It has been very durable and easy to pack next to tent poles, or around the poles. Hikers all have their own way of doing things, but this is a low cost, low weight luxury I never leave behind.

I got this thinking it would save weight and bulk if I wanted to carry around this type of seat and I already owned the required (but not included) thermarest mattress. The chair/mattress combo (using a 1" thick thermarest) actually packs larger than my other seat and probably weighs more. It also lacks the stiffness required to make it comfortable. It didn't cost enough to make it worthwhile returning, but I can't see that I will ever get much use from it.

i thought a small blow up therm-a-rest was included with the purchase. It turns out that you are really only buying the sleeve. you have to provide the Therm-a-rest pad. I don't think it is worth this much.
