I mainly purchased these curtains because I needed come there were 72" long to fit my windows properly. They were the best looking 72" variety I could find at a reasonable price. The metal grommets on top work very well for allowing the curtains to slide open and closed. They also match the antique brass curtain rods I got at Lowe's. The thermal performance seems to work as advertised as well. I have one window that gets drafty during windy days and I don't feel the draft anymore now that I have these curtains up. I am sure they are not stopping the cold air from getting in, but they are stopping it from blowing directly on people seated near that window. I am also sure they will help keep my apartment cool in the summer because they do block out almost all the light when closed. The only reason I didn't give these a full 5-stars is that they smelled when I received them. I am not talking about a little chemical smell you might get with some new items. This smell was like raw fish. It was bad enough to the point where I felt I needed to run them through my washing machine. Washing them did reduce the smell and now I can only notice it when I put my nose right up to the curtains. I was hoping washing them would get some of the wrinkles out of them, but it didn't. They don't really bother me, but if you don't want wrinkles you will probably have to iron them. I got the black curtains and when I washed them a lot of little fibers from the white side ended up on the black side. So if you are going to wash them be aware of this. The white fibers don't stand out enough to draw your eye, but if you look at the curtains directly they are noticeable

I ordered another set from this brand that had the same item name, but with tab tops instead of the grommet tops and in another color. The grommet set seems to be much thicker. I had ordered a set last year for my home and my father wanted the same. He was not happy with the tab tops but absolutely loves this set with the grommets. The terracotta color is rich and looks great in both of our houses. STP is a pleasure to deal with whether you are ordering or returning a product. I refer them to everyone who admires one of their products.

We are using these curtains in a second floor office with large windows. In a cold environment like upstate New York (-11 this morning), they help to keep the heat in and the cold out. They are easy to hang (we are in a historical building, so we are using tension rods so as not to damage the woodwork)and look reasonably attractive.

These curtains were the best Energy Saving curtains I could find without spending a FORTUNE. They are not super thick, which means they probably don't do the best job you could possible get (say, if you spend $100 per panel), but they made a difference for us! In Maine, heating a home with oil, we need all the help we can get! The burnt-orange color is very attractive and exactly what I was looking for (although the grey color was dour and not exactly wonderful), looooove the grommet tops, and I love that I had the choice of length- either 63" 72" or 84". It takes a while for the creases to come out of the curtain, but it helps if you put it in the dryer with a damp towel. Overall, a great choice!

Have had these curtains for a year and they are great. Our home is west-facing lakefront and cold wind blows off the lake all winter. These curtains block any drafts that might sneak in the windows. They are great looking and the grommets slide easily on the rod. Ordered two more pairs for another room.

We just moved to a new house and our neighbor has a Clark W. Griswold style display up for Christmas. Thanks to our new curtains, we happily have no idea what is going on in her yard. I also don't wake up freezing to death at 2 AM to put a log in the woodstove because its still warm in our house! Best curtains I have ever had and thank the lord I bought enough the first time around! PS I only had one set that had the odd smell other reviewers mentioned and it went away within a day.

These have three bold waves in each panel. I have round logs in my log house and these sage green long, wide wave-like folds mimic the logs. With the light brown wide-slat wood blinds the effect certainly draws the eye to the view. At first I wasn't sure, but the more I'm around them the more I like them.

I bought these curtains for both the living room and a bedroom in Natural and Khaki and am pleased overall. The colors were pretty true to described and the good construction. Easy to hang and block out most light, like a lamp shade but not a complete blackout like hotel curtains, especially the natural. They prevent direct sunlight while still allowing a soft glow of light in the room, exactly what I wanted. The main drawback, as others have stated, is the wrinkles. The curtains stubbornly kept their packing creases. Laundering them helped somewhat but still have some wrinkles that a steamer cannot overcome. Overall very please with purchase
