Reviewed by Cindy from Missouri on Monday, April 01, 2013I love these drapes. I bought the white drapes which is very difficult in finding and especially for the price. Although, many customers complained of the wrinkles, I fluffed them in the dryer with a damp white towel and then dampened them down with a spray bottle of water and booked them for a half hour and use the steam iron. This method worked very well and after hanging them they looked fabulous. Could not be happier.

Washed them this morning in cold water on a gentle setting and hung back on pole to dry when I noticed that te length had shrunk by at least 5-6 inches. I still think they are very nice drapes but recommend simply waiting for the lowest dealflyer price possible and replacing every year. These are definitely NOT laundry-freindly and also sublect to wrinkles that do not decrease after haning to dry

Answer These are NOT "blackout drapes" but they do block a decent amount of light between the cotton material itself and the vinyl-rubberized backing. If you choose a darker color (other than natural, etc.)you will probably get the results you want.
