Reviewed by Sunny in Colorado from Steamboat Springs, CO on Monday, January 28, 2013Expected a thicker thermal backing since described as light blocking. These do not block light, but filter it. Leaves the room bright enough to easily see during day w/o turning lights on. Will protect furniture from direct sun and block some heat/cold. Took some effort to iron wrinkles, but worth it. Have not washed yet, so can not comment on how they will look after.

Although I wish they had more width, I would buy them again. Wrinkles ironed out easily and they hang nicely.

Answer The grommet hole diameter is 1 5/8" so it will fit rods up to 1 1/2". I think rods from 1" to 1 1/2" would be best.
