Can't get the iron hot enough to remove the wrinkles without damaging the acrylic foam backing. Maybe fine for a rental apartment but blah, blah, blah for MY living room.

Reviewed by Bargain Shopper from Ann Arbor, MI on Monday, September 10, 2012After months of searching for affordable velvet black out curtains, I gave up and decided to try these from STP because of the price and I am so glad I did! The material is a heavy canvas with a rubbery type backing which I assume helps keep the heat out or in depending on the season. I wanted curtains to let light through and the white color definitely does but also keep the hot sun out which it does. I have these closed most the day and night and still get adequate light through but you cannot actually see through them. Keep in mind the toughest part about getting them ready to hang is that you will need to iron them since they are made of cotton and come wrinkled from the package.
