    Preparing to hike the Grand Canyon, I ordered several different types of socks and tried them out ahead of time. I liked the Thorlo best, by themselves or with a thin liner underneath. For me, these were too thick as a liner under other socks. The leg does come up kind of high, but I folded them down in the warmer weather. These socks (and some thin liners) were the only ones I took to the Canyon; no blisters!

    I was initially disappointed as I was expecting a thinner liner sock. But, once I started thinking of other uses, I grew to love this sock. It's heavier than a "regular" liner but lighter weight than a regular thigh high sock. Goes great with my Uggs, running shoes, tight fit boots. This is a VERY comfortable sock with a perfect fit. I ended up ordering 3 more pair.
